Basketball Recap: Mayde Creek Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Morton Ranch wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mayde Creek, they should've done a better job of containing Christian Gibson. The Mayde Creek Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Morton Ranch Mavericks 58-55 thanks in part to Gibson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. He has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played.

Julio Quiones also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (two).
