Softball Recap: Gunderson Grizzlies vs. San Jose Bulldogs
The matchup between Gunderson and San Jose on Friday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Gunderson Grizzlies wound up on the wrong side of a tough 19-12 walloping at the hands of the San Jose Bulldogs. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Sabrina Gonzales made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Arceneaux, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI.
Gunderson are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3. As for San Jose, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
Gunderson will head out on the road to face off against Evergreen Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Jose, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Independence at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
