Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Carl Albert

Carl Albert entered their tilt with Duncan on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Demons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-3 back in March.

Declan Murphy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Mason Avery looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Jason Pursell was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Davonte Jones, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Carl Albert's record is now 14-3. As for Duncan, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Coincidentally, Carl Albert and Duncan will both be playing Noble the next time they take the field. The Titans will head out to face the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Demons will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
