            Volleyball Recap: Concordia Academy Beacons vs. St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Concordia Academy can now relate to. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-2  on October 9th.
 The  3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by two points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-23,  25-23.
 Ella Bohren paced Concordia Academy's offense, picking up 25 kills. Bohren got some help from  Piper Sutherland and her 23 assists. Bohren was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with five aces.
 St. Croix Lutheran was led to victory by  Elza Olson and  Ellen Dobashi Nunes.  Olson  had 17  assists and 11  digs, while  Dobashi Nunes  had 20  digs and eight  assists. Those  11  digs gave  Olson a new career-high.
Concordia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14-2. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record  this season.
 Concordia Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  3-1  win against St. Croix Prep on the 28th.
