Buna is a perfect 10-0 against Warren since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Buna's offense. They came up short against Orangefield on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Warren hadn't done well against Hardin recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warriors came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 5-2.

Kinley Fife spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 19 Ks. Those 19 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Julia Jeansonne, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Buna now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Warren, their victory bumped their record up to 21-2-1.

Buna got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Warren by a conclusive 21-3 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
