Soccer Game Preview: Hillside vs. Durham Charter

The Hillside Hornets will face off against the Durham Charter Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hillside's offense. They came up short against Riverside-Durham on Thursday, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that Hillside have lost by exactly six goals.

Meanwhile, Durham Charter managed to keep up with Youngsville Academy Charter until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lions lost 8-1 to the Firebirds.

Durham Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hillside, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.

Everything went Hillside's way against Durham Charter when the teams last played back in March, as Hillside made off with a 10-1 victory. In that contest, the Hornets amassed a halftime lead of 8-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
