Baseball Recap: Gateway Comes Up Short

Gateway and Ida Baker squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gateway had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hunter Squire was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits.

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Ida Baker, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Gateway nor Ida Baker have any future games scheduled.
