Softball Recap: McKeesport Tigers vs. Franklin Regional Panthers

McKeesport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 29-11 to the Franklin Regional Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

Sunny Harper led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Esiah Harper, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

McKeesport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Franklin Regional, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Coming up, McKeesport will head out to face off against Armstrong at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
