Basketball Game Preview: Eatonville Cruisers vs. R.A. Long Lumberjacks

The Eatonville Cruisers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the R.A. Long Lumberjacks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eatonville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully R.A. Long likes a good challenge.

Eatonville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 78-20 win over Washington. Given the Cruisers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Patriots are ranked 360th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-33, which was the final score in R.A. Long's tilt against Columbia River on Thursday. The Lumberjacks haven't had much luck with the Rapids recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Eatonville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for R.A. Long, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
