Northside extended their winning streak to 12 on Friday, bumping them up to 12-0. They blew past the North Forest Bulldogs 12-5. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Chris Huerta, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Castillo, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

As for North Forest, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 2.67 runs allowed.

On North Forest's side, Daniel Soto made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.
