Football Game Preview: Lincoln Mustangs vs. Galileo Lions + Official Tickets

Lincoln has gone 8-2 against Galileo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mustangs will host the Lions at 2:00 p.m. Lincoln will be strutting in after a victory while Galileo will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Lowell 27-8 on Saturday.

Mikey Washington had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 223 yards while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lincoln was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 363 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Lincoln's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Marvel Silaen. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Galileo lost to Mission at home by a 50-34 margin on Saturday. Even if the Lions couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Lincoln's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Galileo, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln against Galileo in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-0 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
