Softball Recap: Marshfield Has No Trouble Against Wausau East

Marshfield never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Wausau East Lumberjacks 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Lumberjacks: they've now won four in a row.

Molly Fox was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lydia Garvin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Laila Oppman was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Marshfield now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Wausau East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.
