Basketball Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

Dickinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Central Saints. While losing is never fun, the Midgets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Saints are ranked 21st).

Dickinson's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for St. Mary's Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dickinson will host Jamestown at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mandan at 6:00 p.m. Mandan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully St. Mary's Central likes a good challenge.
