Basketball Recap: East Mills Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, East Mills couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Ayr Raiders on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why East Mills lost, don't look at Jackson Embree. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Embree is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Camden, who posted 12 points.

East Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Mount Ayr, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

As of now, neither East Mills nor Mount Ayr have any future games scheduled.
