Volleyball Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short at Home Against Dakota Ridge + How To Watch

Fairview unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Dakota Ridge Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-13.

Ella Shaw paced Fairview's offense, picking up two kills. Shaw were helped by Peyton Weiss and Caitlyn Graham, who contributed two assists each. Weiss also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Summer Meek, racking up two apiece.

Bayley Distel was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs and one assist.

Dakota Ridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Fairview has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Prairie View on the 28th. As for Dakota Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Frederick on the 29th.
