Football Recap: Rossville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Rossville Christian Academy Wolves lost to the Regents Lions at home by a 35-19 margin on Friday. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Rossville Christian Academy lost, don't look at Cayson Meadows. Despite the final result, he rushed for 81 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Meadows also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making five total tackles. Carson Hamilton got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

It was another big night for Zane Hill, who threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 96 yards and one TD for Regents. Hill is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Wade Hill was another key player, picking up 91 receiving yards and one score.

Rossville Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Regents, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Rossville Christian Academy and Regents will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wolves will challenge rival Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Regents is set to take on their familiar foe Lee Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
