Baseball Game Preview: Aquinas Blugolds vs. La Crosse Central Riverhawks

For the second straight game, Aquinas will face off against La Crosse Central. The Blugolds will head out to square off against the Riverhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aquinas will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While Aquinas' win against La Crosse Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blugolds never let the Riverhawks get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Monday.

Waylon Hargrove made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Hargrove was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for La Crosse Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
