Smith Valley entered their tilt with Mineral County on Wednesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Serpents with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Smith Valley was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-9, 25-13.

Smith Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Mineral County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.
