Baseball Game Preview: Fowler Redcats vs. Minarets Mustangs

The Fowler Redcats will take on the Minarets Mustangs in a tournament on Saturday. Fowler's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Minarets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fowler is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Caruthers on Thursday. The Redcats haven't had any issues with the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Minarets' offense. They lost 10-0 to Sierra on Thursday. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Minarets saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaydon VonWagner, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Fowler's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Minarets, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
