Softball Recap: Timberline's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Timberline strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Lakes Lancers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-1 back in March.

Madelyn Gilmore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Gilmore was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Porsha Miller was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Haagen, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Timberline pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lakes, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Timberline wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-4 loss against Yelm on the 11th. As for Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 defeat against Capital on the 11th.
