Baseball Recap: Campbellsville's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Campbellsville had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 21-10 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Glasgow Scotties 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-6 back in March.

Cameron Estes looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kace Eastridge was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kade Somerville, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

As for Glasgow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20-1 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

On Glasgow's side, Hudson Gumm made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Steven Garrett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbellsville will host Larue County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glasgow, they will challenge Butler County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
