After losing to Washington Township the last time they met, Clearview decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pioneers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Minutemen 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers have posted against the Minutemen since March 12, 2019.

Ben Doney was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Wood, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Clearview's record now sits at 7-1. As for Washington Township, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6.

When Clearview and Washington Township next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Pioneers will face off against Delsea and their seven-game winning streak at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clearview 1.9, the Crusaders 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Washington Township will try to stop Cherokee's five-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
