Grain Valley is a perfect 8-0 against Fort Osage since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Indians at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Grain Valley challenged Raytown on Wednesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, while Fort Osage put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Chrisman. The Indians were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Grain Valley has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Fort Osage, their victory bumped their record up to 11-17.

Grain Valley skirted past Fort Osage 4-3 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
