Volleyball Recap: Gardner-Edgerton Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Gardner-Edgerton saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the West Pioneers.

Hayden Meats paced Gardner-Edgerton's offense, picking up seven kills. Meats got some help from Tori Thompson and her 15 assists. Meats also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Reese Schesser, each putting up three.

Gardner-Edgerton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. As for West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-25-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Gardner-Edgerton will challenge Olathe South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West, they will venture away from home to square off against 8:28 Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
