Football Game Preview: Cumberland County Jets vs. Bledsoe County Warriors

The Cumberland County Jets will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Bledsoe County Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cumberland County's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Stone Memorial last Thursday. They took a blow against the Panthers, falling 65-0. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bledsoe County had to suffer through a 33-6 loss at the hands of White County.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Lilianne Sherrell and Callieanna Griggs. Griggs had a great game on Tuesday and rushed for 146 yards and three TDs. Meanwhile, Sherrell was balling out in the loss, rushing for 104 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 109 yards on 14 of 20 attempts.

Bledsoe County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Cumberland County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
