Volleyball Recap: Vance Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Vance Charter couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Falls Lake Firebirds on Saturday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Firebirds this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on October 9th.

Vance Charter was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Falls Lake work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 25-15.

Emily Reese paced Vance Charter's offense, picking up five kills. Reese got some help from Leah Rice and her 13 assists. Reese was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The defeat snapped Vance Charter's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 19-4 record. As for Falls Lake, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4.
