Softball Recap: Granville Central Comes Up Short

Granville Central's last matchup with Vance County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Vipers, falling 11-1. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Myra Travis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Granville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Vance County, they pushed their record up to 6-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Granville Central will head out to challenge Southern School of Energy and Sustainability at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vance County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
