Baseball Recap: Ringgold Takes a Loss

After flying high against Charleroi last Friday, Ringgold came back down to earth. Ringgold fell just short of the Elizabeth Forward Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Rams have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Tyler Fisher was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

Ringgold's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Elizabeth Forward, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

While Ringgold had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
