Burke Catholic put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Rondout Valley Ganders 14-4. Burke Catholic might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Dylan DeMaro was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Drucker, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Burke Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Burke Catholic pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Rondout Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
