Volleyball Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Takes a Loss

If Cosumnes Oaks was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sheldon on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolfpack fell just short of the Quarry Lane Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Jordyn Jackson paced Cosumnes Oaks' offense, picking up 11 kills. Jackson got some help from Samantha Guingab and her 24 assists. Jackson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Cosumnes Oaks has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Quarry Lane, their victory bumped their record up to 23-2.

Cosumnes Oaks has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Central Catholic on the 11th. As for Quarry Lane, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lincoln on the 11th.
