Softball Game Preview: Kettle Moraine Lasers vs. Arrowhead Warhawks

Kettle Moraine hasn't had much luck against Arrowhead recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lasers will square off against the Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Kettle Moraine fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Waukesha West on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 10-6 to the Wolverines.

Briella Hack put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over eight innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off 13 hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Hack wasn't the only one making solid contact as nine players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alesandra Hernandez, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Arrowhead came up short against Waukesha North on Monday, falling 13-2.

Kettle Moraine's record now sits at 4-14. As for Arrowhead, their record is now 14-10.

Kettle Moraine couldn't quite get it done against Arrowhead in their previous matchup last Friday as they fell 8-4. Can the Lasers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
