Basketball Game Preview: Vicksburg Bulldogs vs. South Christian Sailors

The Vicksburg Bulldogs will square off against the South Christian Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Vicksburg comes in on ten and South Christian on 15.

Vicksburg saw some tournament action on Monday. They strolled past Edwardsburg with points to spare, taking the game 49-30. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Eddies are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Christian). They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging an 88-61 victory over Paw Paw. The Sailors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Vicksburg's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for South Christian, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 23-2.

Vicksburg strolled past South Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a score of 49-34. Will Vicksburg repeat their success, or does South Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
