Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Waynesville Spartans and fell 90-16. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 564th, while the Spartans are ranked 71st).

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Waynesville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Carlisle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-23 defeat against Monroe on the 11th. As for Waynesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-16 win against Franklin on the 11th.
