Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Mandeville's Winning Streak

Mandeville lost against St. Mary's Dominican back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Skippers fell 2-0 to St. Mary's Dominican. The Skippers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Soraya Amorajabi paced Mandeville's offense, picking up six kills. Amorajabi got some help from Julia Marengo and her 11 assists. Kinsley Windom controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Aurore Tortorich was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and one assist.

Mandeville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for St. Mary's Dominican, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

Mandeville will take on Ponchatoula at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's Dominican, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Archbishop Hannan on the 11th.
