Softball Recap: Loma Linda Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to 12

Loma Linda Academy came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Desert Chapel Eagles 15-5. Considering the Roadrunners have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Loma Linda Academy pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 18.3 runs this season. As for Desert Chapel, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Loma Linda Academy will take on Saddleback at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Saddleback has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something Loma Linda Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Desert Chapel, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Public Safety Academy at 3:30 p.m. on May 6.
