Volleyball Recap: Kimball Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Kimball was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Paynesville last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cubs lost 3-0 to the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles on Thursday. The Cubs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-16.

Mazie Jurek paced Kimball's offense, picking up eight kills. Jurek got some help from Bree Johnson and her 12 assists. Raelyn St. Onge controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Kimball has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kimball will host Rockford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New London-Spicer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
