Preview: Ingomar Falcons vs. Blue Mountain Cougars
Ingomar is 4-0 against Blue Mountain since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ingomar Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Mountain Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ingomar comes in on eight and Blue Mountain on seven.
Last Tuesday, Ingomar's game was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Florence with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. 54 seems to be a good number for Ingomar as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Macie Phifer was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kylie Jumper, who scored 16 points.
Blue Mountain has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 30 points or more this season. They blew past West Union 60-30 on the road.
Ingomar's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Florence's defeat dropped them down to 3-3.
Ingomar didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Blue Mountain in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ingomar since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
