Basketball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gardner Wildcats. If the Gaels were looking for revenge after losing 52-48 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gardner, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-29 victory against Notre Dame Academy on the 16th. Gardner has also already played their next contest (against Marlborough), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
