Basketball Game Preview: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Hallsville Bobcats

Whitehouse hasn't had much luck against Hallsville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Whitehouse Wildcats take on the Hallsville Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Whitehouse is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 52-24 loss at the hands of Tyler. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 726th, while the Lions are ranked 274th).

Meanwhile, Hallsville came up short against Lufkin on Friday and fell 43-30. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Whitehouse's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Hallsville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-9.

Whitehouse came up short against Hallsville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 55-45. Can Whitehouse avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
