Basketball Game Preview: Pine Forest Eagles vs. Choctawhatchee Indians + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Pine Forest will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Choctawhatchee Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Pine Forest is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Walton Beach just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 49-38 to the Vikings.

Despite their defeat, Pine Forest saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gerri Lewis, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 13 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 56% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Za'Khiya Shaw-Rease, who posted nine points and four blocks.

Meanwhile, Choctawhatchee came up short against Niceville on Thursday and fell 62-53.

Choctawhatchee's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Pine Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Pine Forest didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Choctawhatchee when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 61-56 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
