Cloverdale suffers 16th straight loss at home

Recap: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Cascade Cadets

The Cloverdale Clovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Cascade at home and fell 62-30. Cloverdale has not had much luck with Cascade recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cascade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Austin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Austin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Creedance Chittenden, who scored nine points along with nine steals.

Cloverdale's defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-17. As for Cascade, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cloverdale will face off against Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Northview is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. Cascade won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th.
