Preview: Doniphan vs. Thayer
On Friday, Thayer are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Doniphan at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Thayer might have drawn first blood against Hayti last Friday, but it was Hayti who got the last laugh. Thayer found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-46 punch to the gut against Hayti. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Thayer was outplayed in the second half.
Meanwhile, Doniphan couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They suffered a grim 6-40 defeat to Cabool last week.
