Baseball Game Preview: Friends' Central vs. Potomac School Panthers

Friends' Central will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Potomac School Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Potomac School took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Friends' Central, who comes in off a win.

Friends' Central is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Archbishop Carroll. Friends' Central blew past Archbishop Carroll 13-1 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for Friends' Central, who have now won five games in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Potomac School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Albans. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Wyatt Pence was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Everything went Friends' Central's way against Potomac School in their previous matchup back in March of 2015, as Friends' Central made off with a 10-4 win. Will Friends' Central repeat their success, or does Potomac School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
