Volleyball Recap: Alma Comes Up Short

Alma's tournament run continued when they took on Cabot on Saturday. The Airedales took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Cabot found their leader in sophomore Whitney Shepherd, who had 12 digs. Kaitlyn Russell also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Alma has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Cabot, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Alma has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Searcy on the 13th. As for Cabot, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Baptist Prep on the 13th.
