Morrison came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Oregon Hawks. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bella Scachette was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Morrison's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Oregon, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12.

Morrison has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against West Carroll on the 19th. As for Oregon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Somonauk on the 20th.
