Football Recap: Muhlenberg Comes Up Short

Muhlenberg lost against Conestoga Valley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Muhls came up short against the Buckskins, falling 45-24.

Conestoga Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sawyer Esbenshade led the charge by throwing for 213 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 66 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Esbenshade a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Conestoga Valley's leading receiver Josiah Garcia was Esbenshade's top target yet again, picking up 166 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 59 yards on only six carries.

Muhlenberg's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Conestoga Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

As of now, neither Muhlenberg nor the Buckskins have any future games scheduled.
