Oakmont Regional put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Marlborough Panthers 73-22. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Panthers are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakmont Regional pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points per game. As for Marlborough, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Oakmont Regional will venture away from home to challenge Groton-Dunstable at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakmont Regional's defense has only allowed 20.5 points per game this season, so Groton-Dunstable's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Marlborough, they will challenge Shepherd Hill Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
