Volleyball Recap: Murray Spartans vs. Uintah Utes
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Murray can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Uintah Utes on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Utes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 25-16.
Uintah was led to victory by Abbie Davis and Autumn Edwards. Davis had eight digs and two aces, while Edwards had 20 digs and two assists. Those 20 digs gave Edwards a new career-high.
Murray's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Uintah, they moved to 14-16 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.
Murray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Uintah, they will challenge Orem at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
