Garden County has gone a perfect 6-0 against Crawford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Garden County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Thursday, Garden County took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-16 victory over Creek Valley. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by 37 points or more so far this season.
The critical scores for Garden County came from Colt Roberson, Lane Brenneman, Carver Corfield, Cable Larsen, Drake Schwartzkopf, Kyan Kramer, Blake Dean, Kole Fornander, and Wilsie Lobner.
Garden County's run defense was locked in: Creek Valley could only muster 2.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Dylan Davis stood above the rest. He made five total tackles. Garden County didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.2.
Garden County's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Hayzen Elliott and Randy Schooley, who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Crawford didn't have quite enough to beat Sioux County on Friday and fell 39-37. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (35), the Rams still had to take the loss.
Garden County's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Crawford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Garden County against Crawford when the teams last played back in August, as the team secured an 82-25 victory. In that matchup, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 52-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
