Volleyball Game Preview: Smith Jewish Day School Lions vs. McLean

After both having extra time off, the Smith Jewish Day School Lions and McLean will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Smith Jewish Day School has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.

Smith Jewish Day School is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maryland's top teams: Maryland School for the Deaf, who was ranked third at the time (Smith Jewish Day School was ranked fifth). The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orioles two weeks ago.

While Smith Jewish Day School had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, McLean came up short against Model Secondary School for the Deaf back in March, falling 3-0. McLean has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While McLean had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.

McLean's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Smith Jewish Day School, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
